Crafting Night Out: Saturday, July 26, 6:30-8:30 pm
Create a fused glass Sun Catcher
.
In this two hour workshop students will get to experiment with a variety of glassworking techniques in a supportive and laid back atmosphere. We will create a small 4’’ suncatcher with hooks to hang in your window! Students will have the opportunity to learn how to cut sheet glass, manipulate thin rods of glass over a candle flame, incorporate metal with glass and decorate their project with colorful accessory glass. Not only will participants walk away with a suncatcher but also an introduction of glassworking. After the class the pieces will be fused in a kiln and available for pickup in about a week’s time.
Complimentary wine or water, and chocolates will be provided. Come enjoy an evening of creativity in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and create a beautiful 4” glass Sun Catcher. Sun Catchers will require firings in the kiln before they are ready for student pick up.
